How to keep safe during World War II

WALT research relevant information.  WILF: clear and useful note taking.

You, as the Government’s team of advisors during WW2, have been asked to design a leaflet explaining: how can people living in Britain keep safe during the war?

The designs which are considered to be the most informative and easy to understand will be distributed around the country.  Will your design be one of the chosen ones?

Use your own knowledge and the link to the Woodlands Junior website.

Consider - what different topics could we include?  Share any good ideas you have by posting them below.

Safer Internet Day - Social Networking

For our Safer Internet Day, Year 6 is going to explore social networking.

Use the social networking section of the Cybercafe to build up a profile for an 11 year old girl, considering at each stage what information to provide in order to keep her safe.

What advice would you give someone who was thinking about setting up profile on a social networking site?

If you ever feel unsafe when you are on-line, it is very important to tell an adult about this.  Sites which children use may have a link to the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) centre  which you can click on to report anything you are concerned about.

Vote for Persephone!

Our class entered a competition to design a logo to represent 'Renewability.'  Persephone has already done very well in getting to the semi-finals, being only 1 of 3 entries in the whole of the South East that have been selected.

Now she needs our help!  The person from each region with the most votes will get put forward to the final.  Click on the link below and vote for her today!  Everyone is allowed to vote once a day until the closing date of March 1st - so get voting!

Adults are also allowed to vote, just leave the 'I am under 12 years old' box unticked.

Everybody has chosen a piece they would like to share.
